Read Japan Project
The READ JAPAN PROJECT was launched in 2008 by the Nippon Foundation (Nippon Zaidan) to promote understanding of Japan around the world, and has so far donated English-language books on Japan to more than 1,100 libraries around the world. As of January 31, 2022, the project's management was transferred to the Policy Research Institute of the Tokyo Foundation, but the Foundation continues to implement the project with a grant from the Nippon Foundation.
This year as a part of the Read Japan Project, Boğaziçi University library has recieved 29 English books on Japan in multiple fields.
