Asian Studies Center Launches Inaugural Issue of the BUAS Bulletin
The Boğaziçi University Asian Studies Center is proud to announce the publication of the inaugural issue of the BUAS Bulletin (January 2026), published by Forum Tauri Press. This milestone publication serves as a comprehensive record and reference point, gathering the rich intellectual life and academic trajectory of our center since its founding in 2009.
Edited by Dr. Erdal Küçükyalçın, with forewords from our Director, Prof. Dr. Arzu Öztürkmen, and our Founder and Academic Coordinator, Prof. Em. Selçuk Esenbel, the bulletin offers a detailed snapshot of the center’s past, present, and future.
The 2026 issue features:
Faculty Profiles: An overview of our esteemed Board of Directors and the dedicated part-time faculty of the Master of Arts in Asian Studies (MAAS) program.
Academic Activities: A meticulous archive of the center's vibrant intellectual gatherings, chronicling recent events from 2024-2025 alongside past activities spanning 2017-2023.
Alumni & Research: A testament to our enduring legacy, this section celebrates our MAAS graduates and presents a collection of MA thesis abstracts, highlighting the rigorous scholarship cultivated within our walls.
We invite our students, alumni, and colleagues to explore this inaugural issue, which honors what has been built over the past decade and prepares the ground for the future of Asian Studies in Turkey.
